' King of Sodom '

I got my hands on one of my husbands 'writings', and asked him if I could post it. He has not proofread it yet, but I begged to just go ahead and put it up....Here it is.....

King Of Sodom

If we could transcend the constraints of time and space and simply move this election year into the realm of trends, philosophy and societal norms of previous nations -- Barak Obama with his declaration of what he thinks is morally acceptable and what he has pledged to do, would win a land slide election as KING OF SODOM!
(The only civilization God single handedly wiped out for its banner sin, homosexuality.)

Barak Obama has stated and supports:
1. “I do not think that homosexuality is immoral”.
2. Supports and has voted for same sex marriage.
3. Supports changing the definition of marriage to include same sex…(and other unions?)
4. Supports the grisly practice of partial-birth –abortion. (Even up to full term – 40 weeks.)

The APPALLING thing to consider is that so many people who consider themselves Christians are either voting for Obama, or considering voting for him.
• Christians should never vote politics over righteousness.
• Christians should never vote economics over righteousness
• Christians should never vote party over righteousness.

BECAUSE Christians have a deeper understanding of the nature of the world in which we live, Christians understand that if God decides to bless a people, nothing in the world can stop it. Christians also understand that if God decides to curse a people, then nothing can stop that either.

Let’s hope and pray that the people who are begotten by the word….echo those words. Remember we are not of this world…we have a citizenship which is above…
Everything that we do on earth should be a reflection of that which is in the heavens.
Remember the Lords Prayer…Thy Kingdom Come they will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS ON NATIONAL ISSUES. Therefore I speak!

Proverbs 14:34 RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTETH A NATION: but sin is a reproach to any people
Proverbs 9:17 THE NATION THAT FORGETS GOD SHALL BE TURNED INTO HELL . ‘The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.’

Economics are important but not critical.
Foreign policy is important but not critical
RIGHTEOUSNESS IS BOTH, IMPORTANT AND CRITICAL.

The Apostle Paul rebuked certain Christians saying; “Because of you the name of the Lord is blasphemed among the gentiles:. To say one thing and practice quite another is fuel for the fires of the ungodly. What are Christians supposed to be in the earth? SALT. Jesus said, “ye are the salt of the earth.: Salt preserves. Salt prevents ‘decay and rotting. If the salt loses its savor (saltness) it is good for nothing. GOOD FOR NOTHING BUT TO BE CAST OUT AND TRODDEN UNDER FOOT OF MEN.’

Remember: Abraham would not even allow the King of Sodom to give him a gift. “Oh that those who are the children of Abraham had the same depth of conviction and relationship.” This is not about who will do what is best for me in this election…the earth is the Lord’s…

It’s about Righteousness !!
